If you’re looking educational fun for kids in Tampa - look no further than MOSI! With discoveries around every corner, MOSI offers an exciting learning experience that will take you on adventures through exhibits that change and rotate, so that no matter how often you visit, there will always be something new to explore. There are indoor and outdoor areas to MOSI with lots to discover in both.

During our visit, there was an immersive exhibit called ‘Moonbase’. This was really cool! In small groups, we were let into the experience which started with a simulated rocket trip to the moon, and then the doors opened up to a self-led walking tour through a ‘moon base’ where you could drive a rover on the moon’s surface, see what your bedroom would look like in a base on the moon, study lunar rock samples, learn about the solar system, and more!

Inside, there were also other areas to explore with dinosaur bones, a LEGO dinosaur exhibit, hands-on STEM and engineering exhibits, a virtual reality experience, and educational games.

Jake was amazed by some of the interactive displays which really made for a fun day of learning and entertainment, and as a parent - I just love when science and education can be turned into fun!
In the outdoor area, there was food truck set up to grab some snacks if needed, a few games to play (like bean bag toss), and there was also a screened-in butterfly garden that we absolutely loved walking through.

So, if you’re looking for something fun to do with the kids in Tampa, which is fairly inexpensive (we paid around $15.00 adult and $10.00 child admission) and also educational, then we definitely recommend MOSI.
